Elemental-type creatures in Magic: the Gathering are beings composed of energy. Commonly, they are from the four classical elements (water, earth, air, and fire) but many other variations exist in MTG lore. Red and green make up the majority of Elemental cards in MTG but they can be found among all five colors. Lands can also turn into Elementals via various mechanics.
