Shapeshifter-type creatures in Magic: the Gathering were first formally introduced in Tempest with Unstable Shapeshifter but Clone from Alpha and Shapeshifter from Antiquities later received the type as well. The planes of Kaldheim and Lowwwryn-Shadowmoor are best associated with the type. They often copy or morph into other creatures.
