Horror-type creatures in Magic: the Gathering can be any sort of nightmarish or hellish creature in the lore. Their abilities tend to harm the controller of the creature. Evasion is a common element on Horror-type creatures. They are primarily black but blue is their secondary color. Horrors were black's iconic creature between 1995 and 2002 instead of Demons.
