Elder-type creatures in Magic: the Gathering are some of the most lore-important legendary characters in the game, like Nicol Bolas. As Legendary cards, they are common Commander choices. The original Elder Dragons and their M19 versions, the Dragonlords of Tarkir, and the founding Dragons of Strixhaven, and the Theros Titans are some of the key Elders in MTG lore.
